That won't be the case in this cooking class in Cartagena!
First, Romário knew how to make a non-dry arepa. Then we prepare 2 delicious toppings to fill our arepas. The result was a delicious meal.
and the list goes on:
- The buttered shrimp paired perfectly with the patacones.

This bartender course aims to learn while doing itdrink andhave fun in cartagena.
This activity takes less time than the cooking class (approx.2 hours) and you will findColombian spiritsmilocal fruits.
I did it. I drank. I loved.
That's how it happened.
When we arrived there were 6 bottles of alcohol on the table.
Romário is accompanied by an apprentice mixologist and a person dedicated to washing utensils.
Nikki, an American traveling alone, chose this course.
It's a great way to have fun and meet people.
Nikki is not wrong. Romário's sweet cocktails warm the heart and relax the tongue.
Romario bietet some ana dash of brandyto put us in a good mood.
Did you hear about it?
It is the star liqueur of Colombia. It is made from sugar cane and flavored with anise. Hot, not good. Cold, still bad - for my taste.
It is common to chew a piece of orange or lemon to forget about the strong taste. It gets even better with salt.
You can't turn down a schnapps in Colombia. Shame on who hands you the glass, okay, I'm exaggerating a bit here.
Cold brandy rushes down my larynx, then down my windpipe. I make a light face and a subtle "eeesch".

Let the class begin.
The first cocktail is… toothpaste.
I have all the ingredients in front of me. I can only listen to Chef Romário's instructions.
I squeeze a lemon to extract the juice. I use it to cover the thin slices Pfanne, a typical Colombian sugar. InViterbo, we visited a local factory ofPfanne.
I add a mint leaf and then pound everything with a mortar.
Then I transfer everything into a cocktail shaker, without forgetting the crushed ice and 6 cl of brandy.
Now it's time to get those muscles out.
I'm shaking, I'm shaking, I'm shaking.
That's not enough, Tom. keep going.
This cocktail class in Cartagena is quite a challenge!
After 1 minute the texture of my cocktail is thinning. I get a brown color.
I add a small slice of dried lemon to decorate. Ready!
Everyone clink glasses and we sit at a square table near the entrance. asked RomarioPapas Frita Yuka, accompanied byPeruvian peppermiNata.
